Amber Lodge

Amber Lodge is one of eight properties set in the complex of Oakerthorpe Holiday Village.

The property has a modern kitchen with dining table for 12 featuring fully integrated appliances including dishwasher, washer, dryer, fridge, freezer and range cooker. The spacious lounge area has a 55” wall mounted smart TV. Wi-fi is included.

Sleeping arrangements consists of 3 doubles with ensuites, 1 double and 1 room with 2 small singles.

The lodge has a standard occupancy of 10 however we are able to sleep 12 by adding put up beds to the larger rooms. The additional cost is £40 per bed per night.

The Lodge sits in grounds of approximately 1 acre comprising of a private hot tub, patio area, large car park and a BBQ station, it is adjacent to a large paddock, usually inhabited by the village alpacas Hugo and Boss, along with a pair of friendly goats.

The village grounds include a playpark with playhouse, designated BBQ area, a floodlit sports area and an enclosed dog walking area along the banks of the River Amber, where the adjacent sluice gates and weir will be seen that served to provide water power to the neighbouring Cotton Mill circa 1790.

Adjacent the main Farmhouse is a walled Orchard which include geese, ducks, bantams, quail, alpacas, goats, rhea (small ostrich), peacocks, sheep and meerkats which is proving very popular with the younger guests especially helping Farmer Vic including fruit picking when in season and feeding and collecting the eggs from the chickens throughout the year except during the Christmas period.

Oakerthorpe Holiday Village aims to provide a truly memorable stay for all its guests with top class accommodation, striving at all times to deliver the very best along with giving a unique and memorable experience however we would like to make you aware that approximately 150 metres from the property is a main railway line which for many, especially our younger visitors as a steam train can often be seen enriches the village experience and it must be said there is minimal sound pollution.
